Content Centric Networks: From idea to standard

Nacho (Ignacio) Solis

Abstract
Abstract: In this presentation I will give a brief overview of CCN and present its evolution from the initial idea to a possible internet standard. Content Centric Networks (CCN) started from the simple idea of communicating via named content instead of named endpoints. From that idea, we developed an implementation and a protocol. Over the past few years the architecture has matured. The CCN community has grown both terms of its technical understanding and sheer number of people. At this stage CCN is ready for an internet standard. I will discuss our proposals for such a standard.
