  FIRST MEETING AND SITE VISIT:  
  FEBRUARY 15, 2016  
 

In the morning, we have the first meeting at Baanpordeedin Guesthouse, Chiangrai. All partners and Chiangrai's hosts (Mirror Foundation and Public Health Representatives) have updated their related activities and discussed on application of wireless sensor for monitoring haze pollutants caused by biomass burning in Northern provinces of Thailand.

 
 
The meeting started with a welcome remarks from Professor Kanchana Kanchanasut, Vice President for Research, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).

Prof. Kim Oanh presented a briefing on related projects at AIT (TORUS, Traditional Haze Monitoring in Chiang Rai with Traditional Menthod) and introduced the on-going research on Low Cost Air Quality WSN at AIT.

Ms. Nisarat Tansakul presented a research on Wireless Mesh Network developed by the Internet Education and Research Laboratory (intERLab), AIT which successfully deployed in rural community villages in Northern provinces of Thailand called the Community Network.

Prof. Giovanni Pau presented on Air Pollution Wireless Sensor Network developed at Laboratoire Informatique de Paris 6 (LIP6), UPMC, Paris, France.

Prof. Isabella Annessi Maesano and Prof. Jean Francois Bertholon presented on Air Quality and Health.

The Chiang Rai Public Health Representative, Mr. Supparade Wongput presented on Health impact of Haze pollution in Northern provinces of Thailand.

The lecturer from Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Dr. Nion Sirimongkonlertkun presented her project about The forest fire and open burning in Chiang Rai.

The Mirror Foundation Representative, Mr. Natthapon Singtuan shared informations about Mirror Foundation missions and his experiences from the field visit in Chiang Rai.

 
 
     
  In the afternoon, we visited Mae Yao Sub-District and Mirror Foundation Chiangrai office. We have talked and asked for collaboration from local public health centers.  
 
 
     
  FEBRUARY 16, 2016  
  On the second day, we went to Doi Chang, Mae Suai District and looking for the place which we may able to deploy our sensors. With suggestion of local doctor at Doi Chang health center we have visited other two places in this highland which always have haze problem (Waa Wee SAO office and Thung Phao Health Center).  
 
 
     
  FEBRUARY 17, 2016  
  On the Last day, we visited the Development Education Centre for Daughters and Communities in Mae Sai District. We have met Mr. Sompob Jantraka, the founder of the center and Mr. Jorn Dix and discussed for the collaboration. In Mae Sai district always has problem about haze every year so this site is a good place for us to deployed our sensor.
