The TEIN2 Workshop is targeted at bringing network operation personnel from the TEIN2 beneficiary countries together and to bring them all to the level qualified for the operation/management network and/or the support of TEIN2 applications. A 5-day Hands-on practical workshop will be organized by intERLab/AIT, for NOC Engineers, specifically TEIN2 network operation only.

Objectives:

To support TEIN2 applications
   - How to support IP Multicast and streaming media such as DVTS
   - Bandwidth Allocation
   - Performance Monitoring and Evaluation

Trainees

The key goal is to promote readiness and partnerships among members in utilizing advanced Internet technologies for distance learning, telemedicine and grid computing.

TEIN2 supports 2 FULL support for Annual TEIN2 NOC Workshop, and 2 FULL and 2 PARTIAL support for Site Coordination Workshop) from each beneficiary country.

For Site Coordination Workshop, One out of 2 FULL support is for an engineer from each beneficiary's National focal point of ASEAN Virtual Institute of Science and Technology (AVIST) and 3 NOC engineers (1 FULL + 2 PARTIAL) from each TEIN2 beneficiaries.Among TEIN2 members, at least one of them must be in charge of Multimedia Communications and Multicasts.

Additional attendees are welcome at own cost. Trainees should belong to each NREN specializing on facilitating distance education on beneficiary’s NREN.
