Visa and Customs
As
a general rule, any foreigner seeking entry into the Kingdom of Thailand for
business, investment, study, medical treatment, mass media, religion,
employment and other purposes is required to apply for a visa from a Thai
Embassy or Consulate-General. To do so, a foreigner must possess a valid
passport or travel document that is recognized by the Royal Thai Government and
comply with the conditions set forth in the Immigration Act B.E.2522 (1979) and

Invitation
Letter
The
invitation letter can be obtained by sending a request together with the
following information: Full Name, Nationality, Affiliation, Position, Complete
mailing address, Telephone and Fax numbers, and Passport detail (passport
number, issued date, expiry date, etc.) to email: sec at interlab.ait.ac.th
The invitation letter will be posted to you within 10 days.

Taxis: Seek out the taxi desk located in the arrival hall of each
terminal. They will set a rough estimate pricing for your standardized, metered
fare, not to exceed THB150. Because of airport regulations on taxis, an
additional THB50 surcharge will be added to the total fare.
A tip of THB10-20 is a gesture of appreciation for their service.
Airport Limousines: The desks for making
such requests are usually adjacent to the taxi desks at all terminals. A
uniformed chauffeur will drive you to the hotel while seated comfortably
in a sedan or luxury car. A flat fee of THB400 is charged.
