Objectives:
  • Train University network engineering staff on how to develop a strategic design plan for their campus networks
  • Learn to implement best practices in campus network design, with particular emphasis on layers 1 and 2
  • Improve technical skills with university network personnel in operating their physical network

  • Switching Fiber Optic cable termination and installation
  • Switching architectures, Layer 2 campus network design and lab
  • Internal campus routing with OSPF and hands-on lab
  • Network Monitoring and Management Tools

Target Audience:

This workshop will be very beneficial to all those involved in an institution's networking efforts:

Network administrators, technical support personnel, LAN administrators, system administrators, network security officers, IT management personnel, and field support technicians. Technical and management personnel from organizations that have deployed networks (or are planning on doing so) and would benefit from the current topics and issues discussed during the workshop sessions.
